How I got here

I finished Higher Secondary (+2) in Science – Biology under the National Examinations Board, which is where my interest in how people learn began. I went on to teach at Little Moon English Academy in Budhanilkantha, taking on English, Computer Science and Health across the lower secondary level.

Alongside that, I enrolled in a Bachelor of Education at Ganesh Multiple College. Studying while teaching is demanding, but it makes the theory useful: almost everything I read, I can test in a classroom the same week.

What I care about in a classroom

I care about participation. A quiet classroom is not automatically a good one, and a lesson is usually working when students are the ones doing something — discussing, building, presenting, correcting each other.

I care about clarity with parents. When a message from school is respectful and specific, families can actually help, and students stop feeling like they are caught between two sides.

And I care about the students who do not volunteer. They are usually the reason a lesson gets rewritten.

Beyond the subject

I trained in fashion designing — garment construction, pattern making, sewing, fashion illustration and embroidery. It is a different skill set, but it belongs in a school: it supports art and craft lessons, co-curricular activities, and students who learn best with their hands.
