Everyday wellbeing
Sleep, screen time, physical activity and hygiene explained in terms students can act on the same day.
Subject
Taught by Prarthana Khatiwada — lower secondary teacher in Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu.
Health lessons only work if students recognise themselves in them. I teach the subject through the ordinary decisions students actually make — what they eat, how they sleep, how they look after themselves and each other — rather than as a list of rules to memorise.
I taught Health at Little Moon English Academy, and my Science – Biology background from Higher Secondary (+2) gives me a solid foundation for explaining how the body works.

What a balanced plate looks like in a Nepali household, and why it matters during adolescence.
Age-appropriate conversations about personal boundaries, bullying and asking a trusted adult for help.
Honest, calm discussion — no shaming, no scare stories, and space for questions.
School leaders and parents who want to know how Health is actually taught in this classroom, and other teachers looking for a starting point. If you would like sample lesson materials or a scheme of work, ask — I am happy to share what I have.
A student who knows how to look after themselves is easier to teach, and better prepared for everything that comes next.
